Position: Remote IT Support Technician

💰 Salary Range: R18,000 to R25,000 per month (Negotiable based on experience and skill level)
📅 Contract Type: Ongoing rolling contract with a 30-day notice period following a 1-month paid trial

Role Overview:
As a Remote IT Support Technician, you’ll work with U.S.-based MSPs to support small to medium-sized businesses. You’ll troubleshoot a variety of issues across Windows environments, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, networking, backup systems, remote monitoring tools, and more. Your ability to clearly communicate, stay calm under pressure, and work within a ticketing system is just as important as your technical know-how.
Responsibilities:
- Provide remote Tier 1–2 support
for desktops, servers, printers, and networks
- Manage and resolve service
tickets via RMM and PSA tools
- Troubleshoot issues related to
Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and basic networking
- Escalate complex issues to senior
technicians when needed
- Communicate clearly with
end-users and MSP teams in fluent English
- Maintain accurate documentation
of work performed
What We’re Looking For:
- 2+ years of IT support experience
(MSP experience is a big plus)
- Strong English communication
skills – written and verbal
- Familiarity with RMM tools like
ConnectWise, N-able, or Atera
- Solid understanding of Windows
OS, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365
- Self-motivated, organized, and
reliable with a stable internet connection
- Bonus: Certifications like
CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or Cisco
